Fraudulent Use of the Expedition Investment Name
1. We Are a Private Fund Manager. We Do Not Take Money from the Public.
Expedition manages private funds. Interests in those funds are offered only to institutional investors and accredited investors, on a private-placement basis, in reliance on the exemptions available under the Securities and Futures Act 2001. Every subscription is preceded by formal onboarding, including client due diligence, and is recorded in a written subscription agreement executed with Expedition.
Accordingly, Expedition does not:
offer, market or promote any fund to the general public, whether in Singapore or elsewhere;
advertise investment opportunities on social media, on messaging platforms or through online advertising;
operate any investor portal, trading platform or mobile application;
approach prospective investors who have not previously engaged with us; or
accept monies from any person who has not completed our onboarding process.
If a person using our name has invited you to invest, and you have not been through a formal onboarding process with Expedition, you are not dealing with Expedition.
2. Our Official Website and Email Domain
Our only official website is https://expeditioninvestment.com/, which was launched on 27 May 2026. We did not operate a public-facing website before that date.
Our website and our email addresses use different domains: the website is hosted at expeditioninvestment.com, while all of our official email addresses end in @expedition-funds.com. Both domains belong to Expedition and are operated by us. We use no other domain, in any spelling or variation.
Any website, web application, online platform or email that uses our name but does not use one of these two domains is not operated by us and has no connection with us.
3. How to Verify That You Are Dealing with Expedition
Check the web address. Our only official website is https://expeditioninvestment.com/. Fraudsters often use look-alike domain names, so please check the spelling character by character, and type the address into your browser rather than following a link you have been sent.
Check the email domain. All of our official email addresses end in @expedition-funds.com. As explained above, our email domain differs from our website domain, and both are operated by Expedition.
Use only the channels we have published. Our only published contact details are +65 6022 0776 and info@expedition-funds.com, and they appear only on our official website.
Check the MAS Financial Institutions Directory. Our regulatory status can be confirmed at https://eservices.mas.gov.sg/fid/institution/detail/417557-EXPEDITION-INVESTMENT-MANAGEMENT-PTE-LTD. The Directory also shows our registered address and our appointed representatives, so you can check whether the person contacting you is authorised to act for us. Please type or copy this address into your browser rather than relying on a link, screenshot or certificate that has been sent to you.
Do not treat our registration details as proof of identity. Our registered name, our UEN and our MAS registration are matters of public record. Fraudsters may quote them, or produce forged licence certificates, in order to appear credible. What identifies us is the channel you are dealing with, not the credentials you are shown.
4. What We Will Never Do
We will never promise capital protection, guaranteed returns or unusually high returns.
We will never ask you to transfer funds to a personal bank account, or to any account held in an individual’s name.
We will never ask you to pay a fee, deposit, tax or commission in order to withdraw or release funds.
We will never approach you to solicit investment through WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat or any other instant-messaging application.
We will never ask for your passwords, one-time passwords (OTPs) or banking credentials.
We will never ask you to download an application. We do not operate one.
We will never direct you to any website other than https://expeditioninvestment.com/.
5. Common Warning Signs
Promises of high or ‘guaranteed’ returns, coupled with claims of little or no risk.
Pressure to act quickly, or requests to keep the ‘opportunity’ confidential.
Requests to transfer funds to a personal or third-party account, or to pay in cryptocurrency.
A demand for a further payment – described as a fee, a tax or a margin call – before you are permitted to withdraw.
Account statements, screenshots or profit figures that you cannot verify from an independent source.
Invitations to join a group chat, an investment ‘class’ or a ‘mentor’ programme in our name.
Fake websites, applications or documents that imitate our name, logo or licence details.
Messages from email addresses or telephone numbers that are not published on our official website.
6. If You Have Been Approached, or Have Suffered a Loss
Stop all contact immediately, and do not transfer any further funds.
Do not disclose any further personal or banking information.
Preserve the evidence: messages, email headers, web addresses, transaction records and receiving account details. This material is what enables the authorities and the banks to act.
Notify your bank without delay, and report the matter to the police in the country in which you live. Where a transfer has been made recently, prompt reporting to your bank may assist in tracing or recovering the funds.
In Singapore, you may contact the ScamShield Helpline on 1799 or visit https://www.scamshield.gov.sg/, and make a police report.
Contact us on +65 6022 0776 or at info@expedition-funds.com so that we may assist you and report the impersonation to the relevant authorities.
Please note: we are unable to confirm or deny whether any particular person is, or has been, a client of Expedition. Client confidentiality prevents us from doing so, and any party that offers to ‘check a client list’ on your behalf should be treated with suspicion. We can, however, confirm whether a website, email address or telephone number belongs to us.
